The 1st Whittlesford & Duxford scout Group is run entirely by volunteers who give up their own time, and holiday entitlement, to help the children and young people in the Scout Group. That’s your children and your young people. There are two main types of volunteers; the uniformed Leaders and the Committee members, but the group couldn’t run without the input of many other people such as Group supporters, parent helpers and Young Leaders (Explorer Scouts who help run both section meetings and organised events).

Volunteering for Scouting is one of the most fun, rewarding and positive things you can ever do. You can give as much or as little time as you like and we’ll match opportunities that fit your skills and the time you have available.

If you want to make a real difference to the lives of the children and young people in your community, have fun, make new friends and earn a professional qualification on the way then don’t wait…….Join The Adventure, NOW!

“For anyone thinking of becoming a Scout, I say, GO FOR IT, come and join the big adventure”
Bear Grylls, UK Chief Scout
